Hearting my skirt ♥

Every now and then there would be times when you would be having exactly ten minutes to get dressed. You just have to ransack stuff, keep it minimal & good to go.

That's what exactly happened just after the Vogue night, it gets maddening when you are staying over with your favorite GF and something like mad-hatter would describe her because she makes me do things I would distantly dream of, like this party after a party.

While dressing up, I kept it comfortable but chic with my skirt that I have been itching to get on myself & the skirt screams "fun" !! That is worn with The Vogue FNO tshirt designed by Shantanu & Nikhil that me & my friend could pick after the crazy queues.

Girls just want to have fun was the night-out theme. It turned out to be quite adventurous one & bustling with our laughter.

Here is what I put together for a girly fun night-out, nothing genius perhaps but hearting my skirt  :

Top -VogueFNO
Sling Clutch- Marks and Spencer
Nude peep toes- Solovoga
Skirt & sleek orange belt- 8teen Style Boulevard
(You must check them out, they would spoil you for choice & ohh all the tempting skirt collection that they have)

What do you think ? Are you going to skirt it soon :) Get comfortable in your skirt I say !!

And BTW keep all the love coming in.

On other note , it's hard to believe that sundae is over. Welcome the week long drudgery *Sigh*

The joys of dressing !!

Outfit Vogue Night :

You all know by now what frenzy vogue night out was ,in case you have not you can read about it right here: Vogue Fashion Night Out 2012 .

So the day when we decided that we are heading to the glam night , the right dress infact the right look hunt started in my head instantly. At times it really gets complex choosing the right attire because of fewer options available in the closet and sometimes too many options also leave me indecisive , all my friends can testimony that but the fact of the matter is that it doesn't lessen the joys of dressing in anyway . Yes that's the good news .

Pre-event discussions with GFs, DMs ,messages added more excitement (read drama to it ) & I must confess we all are drama queens in some way or the other *winks* & along with that a noble demeanour.

Wearing something flowy and girly was the choice.Wearing nude peep toes with the dress was a last moment decision taken by my friend for me.
So here is what I put together for the event & for the dazzling pictures credits to my amazing (to the power infinity) GFs :

Completely tripping on this shot !!

Beauties posing for me

The wine*y* pic
Wearing a cobalt blue dress which is ruffled & has a lovely knot behind.Adding color splash to it is the sling clutch in coral am currently in love with & low on accessories with just a watch and a swarovski bracelet to keep the look neat .
Dress-Designer wear
Sling Clutch- Marks and Spencer
Nude peep toes- Solovoga
Watch- esprit

At the event I also met my all time favorite blogger Shreya from  FTLOFAOT
She is such a sweetheart & has the most gorgeous smile ever *___*

Making the evening memorable & super fun by their company Shaily from COC & Pupul .
You can read her post on the same evening outfit Here . The look she created was so NYC and chic (read sheeeek as they pronounce it, I love the sound of it )

What do you think ? Could I do justice to the Look :)

Vogue Fashion Night Out 2012

If you want to know what Vogue's Fashion Night Out was all about, then let me start by saying it was about fashionable guests talking fashionese and basically shopping. Celebs wandering and shopping crazy .

While it was the US Vogue editor, Anna Wintour, who started Vogue Fashion's Night Out in New York in 2009 simply to encourage shoppers to get out ,Sydney joined the event in 2010 and from there it has grown and grown.

It was about the city’s luxury designer stores offering genuine shopping "experiences" with glasses of wines , entertainers and quite simply, gorgeous staff who actually were pleased to see you in their stores.
You could shop over the amazing stuff at every possible luxuriate Brand like DKNY, Burberry and you name it. We stopped by quite a few of them to join the Shopping Glory.

The frenzy was all about ladies & gentlemen with million shopping bags and mind you the chicest shoppers trotting from around the globe.
I bumped into two of my faves, Shantanu & Nikhil ( Shaily was eagle eye in catching the stars of the night ) and Ambika Anand from NDTV Goodtimes Fame.We happened to have a quick chat with them till our other friends arrived  .We also picked the amazing tshirts on FNO theme by the Shantanu & Nikhil and soon they were out of stock .

Also at the event Alia bhatt and Karan Johar were present .

Sighting's from the Venue , DLF Emporio New Delhi via our lens :

With Ambika Anand , she was looking glamorous in her minimalistic look .

Another Good night is was, Bloggers paradise indeed :D We did place huge expectations from the event, all in all it was good but I guess at some level it could have been more engaging.

IFFD Grand Finale Fashion Show.

A day when just a call makes your day , your friend calls you to invite to the Grandeur of Fashion show hosted by her Institute as she is a Fashion design student & it couldn't have been better, I say.

Here you detour the amazing canvas of colors and silhouettes showcased by various ace designers.
IFFD Finale Fashion Show on August 31st, Friday at The Grand, Vasant Kunj.

The participants of the Fashion Show included Pam Mehta, Rosy Ahluwalia, Sagarika Mittal Goel, Woods by Woodland and Daniel Syiem.

Stunning Barkha Kaul was the show stopper for designer duo  Amit Talwar and Sumit Sawhney and sizzled in the beautiful Sawariya necklace ornamented with real kundan crafted by Designer Sumit Sawhney.

Sumit Sawhney with showstopper DJ Barkha wearing Apala Jewelery from their signature collection

The fused hand painted miniatures over gemstones that are framed with real kundan really made us awe . Handcrafted in silver with precious and semiprecious gemstones with 22kt Gold layering, Sumit Sawhney passionately recreated the era of deep attraction and pure love with this collection. The innovative jewelry designer used festive colors like, red, the color of passion and love, lapis blue and turquoise, color of Krishna. Stone carvings of the idol in red coral framed and ornamented around gemstones had a dramatic charm to them and created a majestic aura. The collection also included a few pieces portraying Kanha or Bal Krishna in oxidized frames.

The detailing of the jewellery is outstanding

The mesmerizing kundan piece

Another stunning creation with Rich color and embellishments
IFFD also honoured industry members for their commitment to the fashion industry in a glamorous award ceremony. Woods by Woodland received the Footwear & Accessories Brand of the Year Award, Rosy Ahluwalia was presented with the Emerging Designer of the Year Award, Atelier was honoured with the Best Fashion Coverage (Magazine). SBJ House of Luxury bagged the Best Store of the Year Award, Coochie Coo was awarded the Best Kidswear Brand of the Year, Ketan Bhatia was presented with the Fashion Choreographer of the Year Award. A couple of other awards were also given out at the event.

I personally loved Rosy Ahluwalia's striking color combinations which graced the ramp , detailing like the netted duppattas with big gold lace borders & ruffled long anarkalis had us hooked. Creativity splendour which made me loved the entire showcased collection .

You can check out this video I covered of her collection:

Hope you liked the Post .

More coming up on the the same day's outfit .

Stay tuned .
